Work Injury Programs

Therapeutic Partners works with injured workers understanding the importance of returning workers back to work as quickly and safely as possible. We communicate frequently with the referring physician, case managers, and company about the injured worker’s progress and compliance.

Functional Capacity Evaluation: An FCE is a systematic physical evaluation which objectively assesses the injured worker’s strength, flexibility, endurance, cardiovascular fitness, material handling ability, coordination, repetitive movements and other job specific abilities that help determine the worker’s maximum safe ability to work. It is performed after the injury has been stabilized, through rehabilitation or when it is necessary to determine if an injured worker is ready to return to work.

Work Hardening: Work Hardening is a highly structured, goal-oriented, individualized treatment program designed to maximize an injured worker’s ability to return to his/her job. Work Hardening utilizes an interdisciplinary approach using real or simulated work activities in conjunction with conditioning tasks that are graded to progressively improve cardiovascular, neuromuscular, metabolic and psychological functions of the individual.

Work Conditioning: Work Conditioning is also a highly structured program designed to maximize an injured worker's ability to return to gainful employment. The injured worker may or may not have a specific position to return to. The activities performed by the injured patient are graded to progressively improve cardiovascular, neuromuscular and physical function.
